BTCCSquare news:

Crypto.com and Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) have entered a strategic partnership to explore blockchain applications in commodities trading. The collaboration will focus on enhancing efficiency in settlement, transparency, and market access through distributed ledger technology.

The agreement includes research into tokenized commodities infrastructure, targeting sectors such as precious metals, diamonds, energy, and agricultural products. Tokenized assets meeting regulatory standards may be listed on Crypto.com's exchange, potentially boosting secondary market liquidity.

This initiative builds on DMCC's existing partnership with Dubai’s VIRTUAL Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) to develop regulated frameworks for commodity tokenization. The deal also incorporates educational components to drive institutional engagement.
